Different Kind Of Relay
This relay is not only filled with fun ways to compete and complete a 150-mile course it is also user friendly. The course is designed as a loop so you start and finish at the same place. No more driving and competing for two days and having to drive a long distance back home. Most relays boast of amazing scenery, however you end up missing half of it in the dark. To ensure all who want to see the entirety of this amazing course, every other year it will reverse directions ensuring everyone gets to enjoy all the beauty this course has to offer.
Choose Your Own Adventure
As noted, this relay is different than all others because you get to choose your mode of transportation. Whether you want to do all the running legs or choose to participate in each of the three different categories, running, mountain biking, road cycling, with added paddling leg. The Tri-Relay150 -miles consists of 1, 3 and 6 member teams, which consist of running, mountain biking, road cycling and one leg of paddling across Strawberry Reservoir. Break down the 18 legs any way your team desires. Each team must decide who will paddle across the 3mile lake rout. Or bring something all can use like a raft.
Ironman Ultra Tri-Relay 150miles one competitor does it all. Just you your feet and your bikes. Do you have a what it takes.
King Of The Mountain Legs
There will be three king of the mountain legs on the hardest and longest climbing legs in each of the three categories of running, mountain biking and road biking. Each of these legs will be tracked on the Strava cycling and running phone app you will need to carry one on your climb. To complete the King of the Mountain Leg you must track your progress on the app and at the completion of the relay we will then see who the King of the Mountain winner is in each category, prizes will be awarded.
