Are you up for the challenge of running, mountain biking, cycling and a leg of paddling the Uinta Mountain Adventure Relay one of the highest, toughest yet most beautiful one day relays around? The Uinta Mountain Adventure Relay is not just any relay! UMAR is unique from all other relays because it features more then just running it also has trail runs, biking and canoeing and to make it more enjoyable Do you have what it takes? Are you a Warrior? What You Will See UMAR features some of the most breathtaking, DIVERSE, awe inspiring scenery in the world! You will run through high mountain forests, majestic vistas, white mountain rock, open plains, country roads, quiet lakes, serene aspen covered valleys, small rural towns and much more. Come discover it for yourself. There is nothing better than to be in the company of family and friends as you enjoy such natural wonders. Different Kind Of Relay This relay is not only filled with fun ways to compete and complete a 150-mile course it is also user friendly. The course is designed as a loop so you start and finish at the same place. No more driving and competing for two days and having to drive a long distance back home. Most relays boast of amazing scenery, however you end up missing half of it in the dark. To ensure all who want to see the entirety of this amazing course, every other year it will reverse directions ensuring everyone gets to enjoy all the beauty this course has to offer. Choose Your Own Adventure As noted, this relay is different than all others because you get to choose your mode of transportation. Whether you want to do all the running legs or choose to participate in each of the three different categories, running, mountain biking, road cycling, with added paddling leg. The Tri-Relay150 -miles consists of 1, 3 and 6 member teams, which consist of running, mountain biking, road cycling and one leg of paddling across Strawberry Reservoir. Break down the 18 legs any way your team desires. Each team must decide who will paddle across the 3mile lake rout. Or bring something all can use like a raft. Ironman Ultra Tri-Relay 150miles one competitor does it all. Just you your feet and your bikes. Do you have a what it takes. King Of The Mountain Legs There will be three king of the mountain legs on the hardest and longest climbing legs in each of the three categories of running, mountain biking and road biking. Each of these legs will be tracked on the Strava cycling and running phone app you will need to carry one on your climb. To complete the King of the Mountain Leg you must track your progress on the app and at the completion of the relay we will then see who the King of the Mountain winner is in each category, prizes will be awarded. The three legs are Leg 2 12.6 mile Mountain Biking up center creek. Leg 11 5.3 mile run big uphill start. Leg 17 18 mile road bike to the top of Wolf Creek Pass.
